Rules
I want the following behaviors during instruction
1. I want to see a spark in a student's eye that let's me know they are listening.
2. I want to see good posture from the students.
3. Do not talk while I am talking.
4. Prepare for success.
5. Demonstrate enthusiasm, intelligence and talent.
6. Exercise critical thinking skills and ask thoughtful questions.
7. The section leader must respect the students and the students must respect the section leader.
Positive Consequences
1. Praise and reinforcement
2. A smile
3. A pat on the back
4. Respect
Negative Consequences
1. Will not have the privilege of performing with the group
2. Give extra work
3. Parents will be called
4. Referral to the school counselor
I expect students to contribute to their own success.
Students must adapt the attitude that they are not just "members" of the class, but rather "contributors" to the
whole ensemble. Therefore they must show me their individual contributions that will lead the group to success.
How My Discipline Plan fits with district and school wide policies
My system of discipline will provide for a safe and orderly
environment for learning; high standards and expectations;
opportunities for student involvement and responsibility; and
an emphasis on positive behavior and preventive discipline.
